About Aliyah Charlet

While growing up, I held the hand of creativity to understand myself. On one hand, my artwork is a love letter to the people I care for, and humanity as I know it. On the other hand, artwork is a way to exhale the hatred I feel towards the world around me and recycle these feelings into something I can find comfort in. I crawl into my creativity like a warm blanket and begin to understand how to respond to indescribable things. To understand the world through the lens of artwork for me is to be highly sensitive, deeply determined, and dedicated to telling the stories of those around me.
